<span style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">Hey guys! Long time no post but I think I am alternating between youtube and this blog because I can't update both for some reason....anyway I have a couple of cards to share with you guys! :D </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCViwhlJnVJSvbha1I_98NkVmogpN0eGl_RcqiMdJdKCBdbgYOD8Tk6YDU-t29xkysA_nyt3ezWMYf7XWpTK9VdUF3lnkFPtqBx1eEHnJlJcKSjvLadb3sSTwRBFmBj5VkzXEiWdy8a3rk/s1600/DSCN4982.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCViwhlJnVJSvbha1I_98NkVmogpN0eGl_RcqiMdJdKCBdbgYOD8Tk6YDU-t29xkysA_nyt3ezWMYf7XWpTK9VdUF3lnkFPtqBx1eEHnJlJcKSjvLadb3sSTwRBFmBj5VkzXEiWdy8a3rk/s320/DSCN4982.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This cards are Eid Mubarak cards which are basically holiday greeting cards for the end of Ramadan celebration of Eid Al Fitr. Ramadan is a month of daily fasting that is practiced by Muslims, as some of you may know. My mom asked me to create some cards for her to send to family members for Eid so this is what I came up with :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJp9vvOmkr6NkWI0S6St7UBLddYyL8cCTSbE2_SIQEFCzlOZQQ6sLAYxTVYocYb4Lg4MD12CVhHz5Bwz1yI0k0AJqsJJ2Y57z9ZVraZ9PRNVQPkEapeY2PzemkPbAKIF70lOvyFDtLF3wO/s1600/DSCN4983.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJp9vvOmkr6NkWI0S6St7UBLddYyL8cCTSbE2_SIQEFCzlOZQQ6sLAYxTVYocYb4Lg4MD12CVhHz5Bwz1yI0k0AJqsJJ2Y57z9ZVraZ9PRNVQPkEapeY2PzemkPbAKIF70lOvyFDtLF3wO/s320/DSCN4983.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the first card, but both cards are very similar in their layouts and I used the same paper collection (My Mind's Eye: Sunshine) for both as well. I find it much easier when making multiple cards at the same time or for the same occasion to use the same overall layout but change the patterns and smaller details up a little bit. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
For both cards I used standard sized card bases in Kraft cardstock, with a layer of white cardstock underneath the patterned paper, of which I used two corresponding patterns in large sections. I then used an EK Success scallop border punch to punch more paper from the collection as a border between the two papers, I also added other strips of paper.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I punched the butterflies out using the Martha Stewart butterfly punch and added some brass colored brads to the center of each before bending the wings and hot gluing them on. I used Prima flowers as well, with Momenta metallic stickers in the center of each. I used American Crafts letter stickers for the "Eid" and wrote "Mubarak" in white gel pen. I added some dashed lines in the white gel pen as an additional touch on both cards.</div>

I hope you guys like them and I hope the next time you have to make multiple cards for the same occasion you don't stress over what to do and simply use the same layout for all of them! :D -Sara<br />

I was so satisfied with the cleaning I did that I was suddenly in the mood to create, so I made a page in my journal! I was in a great mood and I wanted this page to reflect that, so I used some lyrics that say "I know now, life doesn't get much better than this" from an old song that I was listening to earlier today. I used scraps of paper, tissue tape, stickers, cut-outs and stamping! I used my new Smash! date stamp on the bottom corner as well, this should be a useful tool due to my inability to remember when I make things haha. Well here are some pictures of the page, Hope you enjoy and get some ideas! :) -Sara</div><div><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipMjQWBR1s2gT41nTJuWex1rJ_t3lIX6qhc9qZeUYawTVch_a2bdshF41zGycHFO8TQ7EQoOsAE0VFnL-qmtDx8GEiVAvqITE6iYsdttD_XQalbS4rw4T3MgzRLY_phT8V7QCKgZy2BQxp/s1600/DSCN3933.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipMjQWBR1s2gT41nTJuWex1rJ_t3lIX6qhc9qZeUYawTVch_a2bdshF41zGycHFO8TQ7EQoOsAE0VFnL-qmtDx8GEiVAvqITE6iYsdttD_XQalbS4rw4T3MgzRLY_phT8V7QCKgZy2BQxp/s320/DSCN3933.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725173940951864306" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie_R7drODdmRXdqIE_ajV19WzCrxQWHXAvJd6OMB8AFmLTVk-0Z3d5bpo-aBZ99FARoKRCUZwh0ogFtje8RlNwgM7WFZsaGPc7pPOMIh7xjbdqX8k2lNr26CigcwYalBMrXeBasa3atuVy/s1600/DSCN3941.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie_R7drODdmRXdqIE_ajV19WzCrxQWHXAvJd6OMB8AFmLTVk-0Z3d5bpo-aBZ99FARoKRCUZwh0ogFtje8RlNwgM7WFZsaGPc7pPOMIh7xjbdqX8k2lNr26CigcwYalBMrXeBasa3atuVy/s320/DSCN3941.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725173934437734370" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTN5zwDqRhi6pQMJMlDTFaOFsbg2huMNKuum68v62coJ3wZexYJO2Bh-LKbzWIdaXly6-PJt0RTBlweFk5Hzq28D0dd1nYwelF0eKvdNTLQt0N8zwbFmkAhxvwmYVcOAMZihJzGaAlx0Pi/s1600/DSCN3940.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTN5zwDqRhi6pQMJMlDTFaOFsbg2huMNKuum68v62coJ3wZexYJO2Bh-LKbzWIdaXly6-PJt0RTBlweFk5Hzq28D0dd1nYwelF0eKvdNTLQt0N8zwbFmkAhxvwmYVcOAMZihJzGaAlx0Pi/s320/DSCN3940.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725173764426473298" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEhFv4wH4h2Ap5N_b8jIAX3ro7iv9BRpCup-hbpvSc3C0EkSp9IhcFct-k5gPf_-ypZD6-4hWMCEVc1Pmm9lKhXO6ucgz2nSGXXNwg6BaloBATR_mA3Eqt0B9t3iUyUBhGKgA4gRtk1A5B/s1600/DSCN3939.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEhFv4wH4h2Ap5N_b8jIAX3ro7iv9BRpCup-hbpvSc3C0EkSp9IhcFct-k5gPf_-ypZD6-4hWMCEVc1Pmm9lKhXO6ucgz2nSGXXNwg6BaloBATR_mA3Eqt0B9t3iUyUBhGKgA4gRtk1A5B/s320/DSCN3939.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725173755635967250" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCS0PS4c9odqJsE4dgJ3jOu6Lu-Tjvxk_XRMwYSUfGwH3kpHxN8N2xBo7R81UBMiNyQiP818yw31wrPnoIUtVLXsOJF7726XN7gB3wzt2dTVQgn8r4cb_lx-v0p8Eu1ET6-cOFvERY2Z8V/s1600/DSCN3937.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCS0PS4c9odqJsE4dgJ3jOu6Lu-Tjvxk_XRMwYSUfGwH3kpHxN8N2xBo7R81UBMiNyQiP818yw31wrPnoIUtVLXsOJF7726XN7gB3wzt2dTVQgn8r4cb_lx-v0p8Eu1ET6-cOFvERY2Z8V/s320/DSCN3937.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725173747169578594" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI0Iy40Vn_XwvtqK9bNeJoZoM8U8BtLhP697QsVp49Au4MGcTiaidwI0z_mWbJuteGXuSvHIe8M1XNapMCwIdTxJ2zJE07-aNraDDd5EGFQv5gniS-mGtB6Ld2fXoNB0LlZP7Gg8969VEk/s1600/DSCN3936.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI0Iy40Vn_XwvtqK9bNeJoZoM8U8BtLhP697QsVp49Au4MGcTiaidwI0z_mWbJuteGXuSvHIe8M1XNapMCwIdTxJ2zJE07-aNraDDd5EGFQv5gniS-mGtB6Ld2fXoNB0LlZP7Gg8969VEk/s320/DSCN3936.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725173737287448482" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixKKEn_zNgDaLQBDPrn17Fk8L1Z5-OniCgHrVpyOHKUafCXA9OHl_CMgCxPyaI4qcXqWk9liaSfkHeqQHQiQF3ou8uWdHZWu-wAW3nDP0SVNxg9JqAPY8tTMXXcqybaEampqjfvHG3VTVW/s1600/DSCN3934.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixKKEn_zNgDaLQBDPrn17Fk8L1Z5-OniCgHrVpyOHKUafCXA9OHl_CMgCxPyaI4qcXqWk9liaSfkHeqQHQiQF3ou8uWdHZWu-wAW3nDP0SVNxg9JqAPY8tTMXXcqybaEampqjfvHG3VTVW/s320/DSCN3934.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725173734664558722" /></a>sara:)http://www.blogger.com/profile/11989380455395501999noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039266087982333096.post-60166185989154367002011-07-01T11:38:00.001-07:002011-07-01T11:54:04.436-07:00A Patriotic Thank You Card :)Hey everyone! With the Fourth of July Holiday coming up for everyone in the United States, I thought this Red, White, and Blue thank you card would get the patriotic spirit pumping! haha I'm actually not so sure about that but here is the card I made using Stella&Rose: Mabel patterned Papers and a 5.5" square Kraft Cardstock base:<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCrCAtMXTVrpyDcJxl2Lh704oy7PKP9Qz7xqZcGOQjhbhF9dBFBGMoiahq7uAcSQv_u-bWHMQKxNqozXtd0VXqEPQMG7FeVMcUXULM7GxMKrYTzC5TnXQ7m3VGD-zxscGiOO7Iza9V0c7u/s1600/DSCN2600.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCrCAtMXTVrpyDcJxl2Lh704oy7PKP9Qz7xqZcGOQjhbhF9dBFBGMoiahq7uAcSQv_u-bWHMQKxNqozXtd0VXqEPQMG7FeVMcUXULM7GxMKrYTzC5TnXQ7m3VGD-zxscGiOO7Iza9V0c7u/s320/DSCN2600.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624455745719873954" border="0" /></a>I adhered some strips of patterned paper on the base first, and then added some lace that I won in a giveaway a while ago to the bottom. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKO54NEa6ADjaRc8HSi_iaqcCvZIN3dcnKnOaCKLP1IHFtYLaUes2NBzG2Ns_M6paX-NHb0ev_9voi-QR7G1bm1mYAv1H_VXsrlU7OeI8uMJEA5MBXfmQ-r2O673wLd9XGql_H2PDCCfWl/s1600/DSCN2601.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKO54NEa6ADjaRc8HSi_iaqcCvZIN3dcnKnOaCKLP1IHFtYLaUes2NBzG2Ns_M6paX-NHb0ev_9voi-QR7G1bm1mYAv1H_VXsrlU7OeI8uMJEA5MBXfmQ-r2O673wLd9XGql_H2PDCCfWl/s320/DSCN2601.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624455750639342370" border="0" /></a>The large red polka dot baroque shape is a Tim Holtz die, which I ran through the fleur de lis cuttlebug embossing folder, and distressed with a nail file and some black ink.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisH6B5LA3IVoucz6BYWNjCApB_1kJqZNMATJVKOKSpIDPDkwmM65ewbsEuUC1haEfXcwb8O-RdpuaU77CLQRfwimCLMowj1uUTHvDx8C_I3A9phZCRBrJ_K-C07QdT7L-PVrVER6oH-vSk/s1600/DSCN2602.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisH6B5LA3IVoucz6BYWNjCApB_1kJqZNMATJVKOKSpIDPDkwmM65ewbsEuUC1haEfXcwb8O-RdpuaU77CLQRfwimCLMowj1uUTHvDx8C_I3A9phZCRBrJ_K-C07QdT7L-PVrVER6oH-vSk/s320/DSCN2602.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624455758122152754" border="0" /></a>The dressform is cut from the "Summer in Paris" Cricut Cartridge at 6.5". I cut the solid shape from Kraft cardstock twice, and the intricate shape from patterned paper once. I adhered the intricate shape to the solid one first using my ZIG glue pen, and then adhered that to the second solid dressform shape using foam adhesive. I also created the sentiment using a studio G ditto cling stamp set. I paper pieced the frame using three different patterned papers and also added foam dimensionals between two of the layers. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbi4Q7ncdfVFeuZNaVn2cfrUmnLf8cG_YmifQfBKsFCConAKFHPVEaICBn78f84nb6XhJSGZtGFy9qNDMgJPGzJNUXa0Dp59O8wUzyFD2Ofu0ceXnORIGlSLtgSNxs8ysnTXiDtbnZwiNb/s1600/DSCN2603.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbi4Q7ncdfVFeuZNaVn2cfrUmnLf8cG_YmifQfBKsFCConAKFHPVEaICBn78f84nb6XhJSGZtGFy9qNDMgJPGzJNUXa0Dp59O8wUzyFD2Ofu0ceXnORIGlSLtgSNxs8ysnTXiDtbnZwiNb/s320/DSCN2603.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624455761777727746" border="0" /></a><br />The finishing touches were some recollections flowers and a couple patriotic colored buttons. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRSb8KCz-prj-K5kCrTLQeMGNe6oUyfHGLcTdbrTB-NU9RLaBzhL5jMzq_ldtJ4ZJw5IcMCH5YMzQKQy_lj_Vo4JU3GnB2Or4NVkuxvZF7qZXapbFCz4vzgNv4UNy4xCrZCASeedYylDn_/s1600/DSCN2599.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRSb8KCz-prj-K5kCrTLQeMGNe6oUyfHGLcTdbrTB-NU9RLaBzhL5jMzq_ldtJ4ZJw5IcMCH5YMzQKQy_lj_Vo4JU3GnB2Or4NVkuxvZF7qZXapbFCz4vzgNv4UNy4xCrZCASeedYylDn_/s320/DSCN2599.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624455741466658434" border="0" /></a><br />I hope you guys like it! Wow its been a while since I've updated my blog! I just wanted to share the card that I made for my dad for Father's Day yesterday. Here's what it looked like: <br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWQty8EN2qwet738xB1MZMs6jeGLb1BpyraKE8dISffovzg78y3YVH8_ujD-3ySjdU315ja3hHPZT5ZsMy_j_5PWISWD1xGjb4Bm2EtVsfyjzv-yT3UHHfVyhg_sx5HsYRykDPay0mvXXP/s1600/DSCN2491.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWQty8EN2qwet738xB1MZMs6jeGLb1BpyraKE8dISffovzg78y3YVH8_ujD-3ySjdU315ja3hHPZT5ZsMy_j_5PWISWD1xGjb4Bm2EtVsfyjzv-yT3UHHfVyhg_sx5HsYRykDPay0mvXXP/s320/DSCN2491.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620467302653241810" border="0" /></a><br />I used kraft cardstock as the base which was 5.5" square after folding. The next layer of black cardstock was cut at 5.25" square. The next layer of blue patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye:Stella and Rose: Hattie paper collection was cut at 5" square. I mounted all of those layers together and attached them to the front of the card.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg2o2jNdvNwPMgnVbUqx9GJqnk1gyBAVCg-lupWCUBT6_pC3mK6k_xr2S8MEE3LwAlOImtmWP3rcgztXn-0DebYG4TmM18IEVRU6D3QsMvnmh-tOmwrbO5po1z2m1LWc0PtnM3o5PrNZOv/s1600/DSCN2492.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg2o2jNdvNwPMgnVbUqx9GJqnk1gyBAVCg-lupWCUBT6_pC3mK6k_xr2S8MEE3LwAlOImtmWP3rcgztXn-0DebYG4TmM18IEVRU6D3QsMvnmh-tOmwrbO5po1z2m1LWc0PtnM3o5PrNZOv/s320/DSCN2492.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620467308536847586" border="0" /></a><br />Next I used several different letter stickers to spell out "Happy Father's Day". The white stickers are American Crafts Remarks stickers, the black foam stickers are American Crafts Thickers, and the large black letters with white grid pattern on them are from Basic Grey's Origins collection. :)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht3-SlAF04HNg1TEuZSczvjyBc-euYNy1Zj269DlfjMor3ACr9eYgS-TPVbV1s_-n6DkLeRcg7vHe14nlT_LWXzMGL8sWJfekf5zEvMphzxqR_HR7GBdxmHrIo3MG436AEE9XaF4mWZl5c/s1600/DSCN2493.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht3-SlAF04HNg1TEuZSczvjyBc-euYNy1Zj269DlfjMor3ACr9eYgS-TPVbV1s_-n6DkLeRcg7vHe14nlT_LWXzMGL8sWJfekf5zEvMphzxqR_HR7GBdxmHrIo3MG436AEE9XaF4mWZl5c/s320/DSCN2493.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620467315615251858" border="0" /></a><br />The idea for the flowers and clouds partially came from Kristina Werner's recent Thanks card using a landscape with flowers and hillsides. Although I originally was not planning on creating flowers or clouds at all! I made the "flowers" with one inch circles and large silver square brads. I cut some thin strips of black cardstock for the stems and hand cut some leaves out of some white patterned paper from Basic Grey's Basics manilla collection. The clouds are also hand drawn/cut from the same paper.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxhJlNuF7v2ZsHpeDjz7sesOv5ebJokAkI8r4w_HU69n22lO4XFkEPBuaXvS_oqmAkZyJB2sieOeVxK2PkfHOk22ZHNpAXyNtKgJ5dgnJMYBqxMiPhsJo9BjQjYovJqetNq97B8VoDpEAE/s1600/DSCN2498.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxhJlNuF7v2ZsHpeDjz7sesOv5ebJokAkI8r4w_HU69n22lO4XFkEPBuaXvS_oqmAkZyJB2sieOeVxK2PkfHOk22ZHNpAXyNtKgJ5dgnJMYBqxMiPhsJo9BjQjYovJqetNq97B8VoDpEAE/s320/DSCN2498.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620467323546658162" border="0" /></a><br />I popped the flowers on varying levels of foam adhesive as well as one of the clouds :) And here's what the back looked like as well!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizUfa4cB9uoZBM_BPMDtzxX0fSeZzDT0aCg5i9rZ7IzoAQi62SpV8dBWqdJnQpiAhTl4lk6MNd14AlmvJAc3KuFOMsOLHzogBNXVGY4cA0ds4pHJcLVgXUlNRqOl8xe9JbtGcenau2QVvu/s1600/DSCN2496.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizUfa4cB9uoZBM_BPMDtzxX0fSeZzDT0aCg5i9rZ7IzoAQi62SpV8dBWqdJnQpiAhTl4lk6MNd14AlmvJAc3KuFOMsOLHzogBNXVGY4cA0ds4pHJcLVgXUlNRqOl8xe9JbtGcenau2QVvu/s320/DSCN2496.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620467331362356962" border="0" /></a><br />Thanks so much for reading this! I have a couple of cards that I would like to share, both made with the "Mabel" Stella and Rose Paper collection. They are pretty simple, but I love how they came out!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhakfgp8mOMWGImiDUMdcBiVQbZKy0WedV9BJp_XZUF1sS42IskpvO62W7T1a45A59ZEyT-wn7sT-uFDQpbJDOgOgHY46NYmGm3t1wjv69LhuDLVGzL2dCPlNpP-1CbhxpywS4KEVniS7uJ/s1600/DSCN0005.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhakfgp8mOMWGImiDUMdcBiVQbZKy0WedV9BJp_XZUF1sS42IskpvO62W7T1a45A59ZEyT-wn7sT-uFDQpbJDOgOgHY46NYmGm3t1wjv69LhuDLVGzL2dCPlNpP-1CbhxpywS4KEVniS7uJ/s320/DSCN0005.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5590731895441408370" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAbbmg-E55g0ScrbFiZFYeUm5H2puqgukMect_TCmj1kS9Lp8qyxSWlHoG_zYSI9OeuxYDevrTitEfVxlwttFTHVnedYiXt9k5Xm_dnkEemqCa3DZDWrwN0SXl0MeEKBfA6dFp5O0Usjga/s1600/DSCN0007.JPG"><br /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjl_g-eH_aU-hPRgqMjaBFpHx-Gbzyji8pRsxIBCd1DLXzN8R6Ll_ePvwZKD6-jWasEcJGa0uWn-57mlhxd1xaHJjCoWx8wCIaQxBkMsfUt42hcaur6AwCBO4ngApLAYrvbS9LTaXZ9qXOy/s1600/DSCN0009.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjl_g-eH_aU-hPRgqMjaBFpHx-Gbzyji8pRsxIBCd1DLXzN8R6Ll_ePvwZKD6-jWasEcJGa0uWn-57mlhxd1xaHJjCoWx8wCIaQxBkMsfUt42hcaur6AwCBO4ngApLAYrvbS9LTaXZ9qXOy/s320/DSCN0009.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5590731908810079842" border="0" /></a>On the first one I just cut rectangles of the patterned papers for the background, stamped and embossed my sentiment with white embossing powder, cut it out and added it with dimensional adhesive. I also added three buttons for a little extra touch.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs8SLLOb3q48NFqpIymxK_9A1Qj_Ai8wouNyUHyJzitfBjS28P93NqDH4PJULL0GBzSsFQFSFXAFuqEQItoUsbnsaxQvqLLHO2K5L2Jhyx9CjW-O-nedI-gBGuwI36ERkkLEz035_mllGb/s1600/DSCN0011.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs8SLLOb3q48NFqpIymxK_9A1Qj_Ai8wouNyUHyJzitfBjS28P93NqDH4PJULL0GBzSsFQFSFXAFuqEQItoUsbnsaxQvqLLHO2K5L2Jhyx9CjW-O-nedI-gBGuwI36ERkkLEz035_mllGb/s320/DSCN0011.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5590731911853338562" border="0" /></a><br /><br />For the second card, I used my new cling stamp set from Joann's from TPC studio called "Cupcakes". I stamped the cupcake image on several different patterned papers and kraft paper as well, paper pieced them and added them to the card on dimensionals. I stamped and embossed the sentiment (also from the "cupcakes" stamp set) with white embossing powder and added a couple of strips of patterned paper to the bottom. I rounded all of the corners and added some white dashed lines for an extra touch!<br /><br />I hope you guys like them :)<br /><3 sarasara:)http://www.blogger.com/profile/11989380455395501999noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039266087982333096.post-21729345584363144502011-03-05T12:42:00.001-08:002011-03-05T12:52:22.352-08:00Happy Saturday! :)<div style="text-align: center;">Hey everyone! well this past week was pretty great, and what made it even better was today I recieved my order of the Prima 6 by 6 paper pads "Madeline" and "Melody"! :D I'm so excited to work with those papers as well as some of the vintage trinkets by Marion Smith. Anyways, I'm in a great mood so I'm gonna probably scrap later on today, but I thought I'd show you a card that I made for an order last week. The customer wanted a birthday card for her mother, and this is what I came up with:<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5bc1f58zRxIsR0cb5hw_wuhPEVx8MeLU2qHxUXvuQYk5kusLHL7MYPaKfgZE_L0206JQL5VV-3_1aL11lZ1fPUQzHhBLSvY1Z0xr9TMtrOw0UXQLflqZfn8NMqteU12qgAaV1IQkZ9lnY/s1600/DSCN1842.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5bc1f58zRxIsR0cb5hw_wuhPEVx8MeLU2qHxUXvuQYk5kusLHL7MYPaKfgZE_L0206JQL5VV-3_1aL11lZ1fPUQzHhBLSvY1Z0xr9TMtrOw0UXQLflqZfn8NMqteU12qgAaV1IQkZ9lnY/s320/DSCN1842.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5580700074888671714" border="0" /></a><br />The card was extra tall and skinny, because I wanted to try out a different shape other than A2. I used plain ivory cardstock for the base, and all of the patterned papers you see are from a K and Company mat pad. I used some lace on the front, <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVHq9XrGVjQN6RIHLdkMDh4EM90p-u4y8-K9I8A0eMNEoL_50frk2Vz94IuQKk2B75pEcwTDphkWM6y5YjiZ0UFOHYLy-3BwUiI3l7P_39tO5lkSR-s-HATLEFlT90hpAIrMz-vFzNGjrc/s1600/DSCN1846.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVHq9XrGVjQN6RIHLdkMDh4EM90p-u4y8-K9I8A0eMNEoL_50frk2Vz94IuQKk2B75pEcwTDphkWM6y5YjiZ0UFOHYLy-3BwUiI3l7P_39tO5lkSR-s-HATLEFlT90hpAIrMz-vFzNGjrc/s320/DSCN1846.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5580700296959315538" border="0" /></a>as well as some light pink ribbon around the focal piece with was a piece from that mat pad which I added some white pearl paint to. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF2YSkQvuxEW_zObLzvkSAkpEWVeWdgS3oJ8xmPKaPIvbV4r0e7USIoxrfZDdq1A9TOO0ftBsI-PXwtacwDHH0KaV68cY7LKeqcSsiy03ivyjutIIdZTOWqSBH6kCPslx40ZoV29X-H1dg/s1600/DSCN1845.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF2YSkQvuxEW_zObLzvkSAkpEWVeWdgS3oJ8xmPKaPIvbV4r0e7USIoxrfZDdq1A9TOO0ftBsI-PXwtacwDHH0KaV68cY7LKeqcSsiy03ivyjutIIdZTOWqSBH6kCPslx40ZoV29X-H1dg/s320/DSCN1845.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5580700292541947218" border="0" /></a>I stamped and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder, and layered it onto several of the different patterned papers that I used on other parts of the card. This is a card that I made for a customer to give to her boyfriend on Valentine's Day, so I didn't want to make it too frilly or overdone. I went with a simple pink, white and kraft color scheme and here is what I came up with:<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZW2jV6zxAfuCjfAF-6AHK6vRSiPlGRlG3T2k6Ghp-GYFHe8NPoo7ETk-dk58bIR-mDKO2EGrDcSWxRjZSgR7mAaZqMDQIBRzi7WWKO_iP0Km4mmxRwbZcZHo2OFLj7GKiZ5u0T3MQg2SL/s1600/DSCN1434.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZW2jV6zxAfuCjfAF-6AHK6vRSiPlGRlG3T2k6Ghp-GYFHe8NPoo7ETk-dk58bIR-mDKO2EGrDcSWxRjZSgR7mAaZqMDQIBRzi7WWKO_iP0Km4mmxRwbZcZHo2OFLj7GKiZ5u0T3MQg2SL/s320/DSCN1434.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572629650541190546" border="0" /></a>I used an A2 sized card base with Kraft cardstock which I stamped a background of hearts on with brown A La Mode ink using one of the hearts from the Martha Stewarts clear stamp set called "hearts and flowers". Then I made a 3" square with white cardstock, 2.75" in the pink patterned paper from DCWV and layered them. The sentiment is a dollar stamp from Micheals that says "Love You", I stamped it and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I stamped it in black ink onto some other pink patterned paper also from DCWV and cut it out to add it to the stamped image. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieuu9pMWl9-mTYwsKX0EWePOMQFFWJeVv2nhPGgll7i89f4G8fC6BeKFDND_UYM92lStb1T0e-aWeECmO4g3Tq7erLaifbHVg2-rtlgU5aWJdfDDTIxKGWGZwJREZpbrRz5B2Gbu6rSXqu/s1600/DSCN1435.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieuu9pMWl9-mTYwsKX0EWePOMQFFWJeVv2nhPGgll7i89f4G8fC6BeKFDND_UYM92lStb1T0e-aWeECmO4g3Tq7erLaifbHVg2-rtlgU5aWJdfDDTIxKGWGZwJREZpbrRz5B2Gbu6rSXqu/s320/DSCN1435.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572629656924808706" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcMrs9Ui6SFN6P8nWgvnOCEn8ygZOcQtUZNrwS_o7nE3yUq6e6x2HODVkwkt_Krj_6b8vz4scspzVzT4rPRk2hwoSSc_CoUSIS6olrYWcdCbCLCmddyrvEPQPmBRfFFtgzDpTC0dUub7RV/s1600/DSCN1436.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcMrs9Ui6SFN6P8nWgvnOCEn8ygZOcQtUZNrwS_o7nE3yUq6e6x2HODVkwkt_Krj_6b8vz4scspzVzT4rPRk2hwoSSc_CoUSIS6olrYWcdCbCLCmddyrvEPQPmBRfFFtgzDpTC0dUub7RV/s320/DSCN1436.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572629660505866402" border="0" /></a>I popped the heart up on dimensionals, and also popped the entire sentiment up on dimensionals as well. I added it to the front of the card and then added white stitching around the edges with gel pen.<br /><img src="file:///C:/Users/Sara/Pictures/newcards2011sm/DSCN1434.JPG" alt="" /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg37V01f52Srab9RTZiE-3w6MSpVr_wO3rylKd5r8Bpzw83vfR046TdWHGA3LsyPBIiFYyJPHHO3TBDsJv8gsPPYukhXrPTFhTdsR7ykCM3j8ZuHdEg-NQKRg_2EkU4JBVHczAPeuTyWhs9/s1600/DSCN1437.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg37V01f52Srab9RTZiE-3w6MSpVr_wO3rylKd5r8Bpzw83vfR046TdWHGA3LsyPBIiFYyJPHHO3TBDsJv8gsPPYukhXrPTFhTdsR7ykCM3j8ZuHdEg-NQKRg_2EkU4JBVHczAPeuTyWhs9/s320/DSCN1437.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572629668277909074" border="0" /></a><br /><3 sarasara:)http://www.blogger.com/profile/11989380455395501999noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039266087982333096.post-17676306638515526282011-02-03T15:19:00.000-08:002011-02-03T17:28:36.659-08:00Magnetic Valentine Card Picture Tutorial :)Hey guys! So my last video for the 31 day challenge was for the "I Heart You" Valentine card with a removable magnetic heart! (Here's the video if you haven't seen it:<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/5VbO0KwQ2tU" frameborder="0"></iframe><br />)<br /><br />I'll take you step by step how I made this card starting with a base of kraft cardstock:<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8elgiIaXRjDMlpwgN873eazhYfQngz05-HF2yx2DNq8ylD9ccCGRtNU2eK9laITotgTtHc5DuaIZOKIZxO7j8OaFPuerYHx4cmbxLcgyorFqfE76t4K8ChhzfI9gd-hGcMMPFq48QqYnT/s1600/DSCN1383.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8elgiIaXRjDMlpwgN873eazhYfQngz05-HF2yx2DNq8ylD9ccCGRtNU2eK9laITotgTtHc5DuaIZOKIZxO7j8OaFPuerYHx4cmbxLcgyorFqfE76t4K8ChhzfI9gd-hGcMMPFq48QqYnT/s320/DSCN1383.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569607964885674050" border="0" /></a><br />Next I used pieces of patterned paper from Crate Paper's "Restoration" Collection.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrsZbgmDLzBO6j0FgSIardMNa2NpYis1Ra5nm-reahswEgGOS41HhP9bQwMPCz6JoergdLB8eRs996k-fCw3dsKxUD-cd83XcvRqK0x0DXjWqlTZZW450siQLbDUeY6QuJhR6muADoRhFB/s1600/DSCN1385.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrsZbgmDLzBO6j0FgSIardMNa2NpYis1Ra5nm-reahswEgGOS41HhP9bQwMPCz6JoergdLB8eRs996k-fCw3dsKxUD-cd83XcvRqK0x0DXjWqlTZZW450siQLbDUeY6QuJhR6muADoRhFB/s320/DSCN1385.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569608831894999234" border="0" /></a><br />I cut strips of the papers with varying widths. I also adhered some of this really pretty K & Company paper onto the green mat that is cut 1/8" smaller on all four sides to create a really thin border of green. I stamped the sentiment "Thanks" from an American Crafts clear stamp set called "Thanks" in brown ink onto the ivory cardstock and once again layered it with the green. I added some white grosgrain ribbon and three pale green bling to finish it off. Here is the video in which I created this card:<br /><iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/RObOAeBqf5A" frameborder="0"></iframe><br /><br />The second card looks like this: <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj45rimjc7kwF0HrrRWdtqQnIHn9NGwziu2bNn6oGd7IGpgEGfl_qo2mQ1CkGrA70gXN8bqR7EP4CE9YQpgaDg0qqekjr2BYhu77Yk0ccteHoRYrHEmB77XEuAkQFG8Q8DNscMiAEcFEf0t/s1600/DSCN1315.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj45rimjc7kwF0HrrRWdtqQnIHn9NGwziu2bNn6oGd7IGpgEGfl_qo2mQ1CkGrA70gXN8bqR7EP4CE9YQpgaDg0qqekjr2BYhu77Yk0ccteHoRYrHEmB77XEuAkQFG8Q8DNscMiAEcFEf0t/s320/DSCN1315.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5565078461063001010" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAMfejXGtib_SYoa1mu3aN9yduiIvw8ah-4XQx0ZED7qBz0KBjMWTTg-Y0cI6rX-usXVk10BpDh4XHEvjmtpNTA5izG2jGK4friA_uj4UOzPRypkfHaPMCVRs2SuTVq_QCqu7f2PJJVU9C/s1600/DSCN1317.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAMfejXGtib_SYoa1mu3aN9yduiIvw8ah-4XQx0ZED7qBz0KBjMWTTg-Y0cI6rX-usXVk10BpDh4XHEvjmtpNTA5izG2jGK4friA_uj4UOzPRypkfHaPMCVRs2SuTVq_QCqu7f2PJJVU9C/s320/DSCN1317.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5565078471255042834" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpKEzlN7FtpDtAFQeghzhtKDUAAgEWvwrHXZ1JhdzK2JdFtIel4Cp-5WAfha3FWHybDxYMzJky805x-66v7pI-GBYqOnGzbdKNOn6L6rBgAQTJ-FJS2rqsGs33Wm-8gM6g6F3V9MDoI55v/s1600/DSCN1318.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpKEzlN7FtpDtAFQeghzhtKDUAAgEWvwrHXZ1JhdzK2JdFtIel4Cp-5WAfha3FWHybDxYMzJky805x-66v7pI-GBYqOnGzbdKNOn6L6rBgAQTJ-FJS2rqsGs33Wm-8gM6g6F3V9MDoI55v/s320/DSCN1318.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5565078481084419010" border="0" /></a><br />I used the same green cardstock left over from the first card and the same ivory cardstock as well. Once again it is an A2 sized card, the lighter cream colored cardstock is cut at 5 1/4" by 4" and the ivory cardstock is cut at 5" by 3 1/2". I ran that piece of cardstock through my Sizzix Texture Boutique with the Cuttlebug embossing folder called "Fleur de Li" and then I used my ink tool to add some color to the embossing with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The sentiment says "A Friend Always" and it is from the "Always" clear stamp set by American Crafts. I also stamped it on the same ivory cardstock and inked it with Vintage Photo as well, then I layered it onto the cream cardstock which is layered onto the green cardstock and then adhered using foam dimensional stickers.<br />Both of these cards are super quick and simple to make and yet they can be perfect for a quick thank you or note to cheer someone up! I hope you enjoyed them!<br /><3 sarasara:)http://www.blogger.com/profile/11989380455395501999noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039266087982333096.post-68424190477747409012010-12-18T14:19:00.000-08:002010-12-18T14:29:23.201-08:00Birthday Card<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_Q-y8IKXoQjSdAOkTUNOZs6JTrXhUuVNhJl7wg9Vy_oWIQG1I38aRrVjMRXi4n6eKCu22JGtz0ci8agD9odTHhnOTDB0AIMh1E6I3ofhwwL_bq756lh8tYpiD3pgFqDGSKpufQjq7l9k-/s1600/DSCN1089.JPG"><br /></a>hey guys! The card base is a regular 4.25" by 5.5" A2 sized piece of kraft cardstock. There is also a very thin mat of creme colored cardstock that I cut to create an eighth of an inch border around the patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment (a dollar stamp from Michaels) with Tim Holtz distress embossing ink, and then I embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I added some American Crafts chipboard Thickers for the numbers. Lastly I added three rhinestones/bling to the centers of the flowers on the main patterned paper. I really hope you guys like it! :)<br /><3 sarasara:)http://www.blogger.com/profile/11989380455395501999noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039266087982333096.post-41896474519882266362010-11-27T15:23:00.000-08:002010-11-27T15:44:41.985-08:00Ok here we go!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpr7gZBUgbSmfua2lzOss_pW1InMZYGK2i6lmjvYB-1hi0Id0ckf_auNQBJZCnm8AdQqjkEUAyY5h-MlmgXIi75ZM21jJ0f2V-CMWdv62-E3CLxyx3LK2E0QBCGZd-ekPmBdT3hEzplZ-K/s1600/DSCN1032.JPG"><br /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHdO8NERzpVBtwJx3ddJmQk-t5i79i3eNJPPcKRkFTLmQr1yjOQWkecAtRNMHJm903plR1VUOLN6ga8sONL0Y-CGwfbIkD-EVAn72xUupah58QfJ4q_bDIXYBfyXEbKsde0wpARwdsLl1N/s1600/DSCN1031.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 275px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHdO8NERzpVBtwJx3ddJmQk-t5i79i3eNJPPcKRkFTLmQr1yjOQWkecAtRNMHJm903plR1VUOLN6ga8sONL0Y-CGwfbIkD-EVAn72xUupah58QfJ4q_bDIXYBfyXEbKsde0wpARwdsLl1N/s320/DSCN1031.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544374976362826802" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVI2TEP_PmERh1vE5aZgKIsjK-2CS3G3Ovsk8LfQbrNhyruCpZ-Dc3JpYw5UrcWFvKFP_Tke_uGY6tZblHA532a75c8khwBZ_wKrrS1ZdCHAvMLNeJpKjYqtPVeP8pzL1h4PuVO37JivSm/s1600/DSCN1045.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 314px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVI2TEP_PmERh1vE5aZgKIsjK-2CS3G3Ovsk8LfQbrNhyruCpZ-Dc3JpYw5UrcWFvKFP_Tke_uGY6tZblHA532a75c8khwBZ_wKrrS1ZdCHAvMLNeJpKjYqtPVeP8pzL1h4PuVO37JivSm/s320/DSCN1045.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544374966462065778" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZXa4OJu4KsQRnFgB4PjkvxjzWUDDbVc7Pe8TU26JjKkEjs_MFPax2mPq0f6yI3R9VKhIeeqLKeKrYUFoW4hcr_w0ZERiIlk5fH5CS75YR2mE4RyLjiopeLRa_PeRpcMxzU2YsgQXnJ5t4/s1600/DSCN1040.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 258px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZXa4OJu4KsQRnFgB4PjkvxjzWUDDbVc7Pe8TU26JjKkEjs_MFPax2mPq0f6yI3R9VKhIeeqLKeKrYUFoW4hcr_w0ZERiIlk5fH5CS75YR2mE4RyLjiopeLRa_PeRpcMxzU2YsgQXnJ5t4/s320/DSCN1040.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544374962073077810" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-ekvh3dckI9lHFdJx1cpdp6ARuqvBeYfL8nVoozzhY-wEyNLWyW90395qHQBgAKRtDVreP-733xfS0Eh9yqauqKjLR9yXwZmlGJa9zkLszWK0te0uo3aMLmcwKqwIaDP_4MX2yDda7oWY/s1600/DSCN1038.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 208px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-ekvh3dckI9lHFdJx1cpdp6ARuqvBeYfL8nVoozzhY-wEyNLWyW90395qHQBgAKRtDVreP-733xfS0Eh9yqauqKjLR9yXwZmlGJa9zkLszWK0te0uo3aMLmcwKqwIaDP_4MX2yDda7oWY/s320/DSCN1038.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544374958144313266" border="0" /></a>These are some of the cards I made recently to try out new layouts/ techniques that I had not tried before! The large red heart is cut from the "George and Basic Shapes" cricut cartridge at I believe 2 inches. It is embossed with the "Victoria" cuttlebug embossing folder. I added a stamped heart from an American Crafts "Thanks" stampset and a smaller heart cut out of white cardstock, along with some American Crafts white letter stickers for the sentiment.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtrBD2CW3ZcK_qvODlsxifO3_zHkA1fjxJ9eL4I97ZC8_UMCYY77_w_a7nJfIzR63-NMhIssEL0FgYvu3fAoLfPIu2x3aqng-qvj7WdjsNGOXQlYTz-zSTNVMKD_EFqvqrlRTdObs74BSB/s1600/DSCN1046.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtrBD2CW3ZcK_qvODlsxifO3_zHkA1fjxJ9eL4I97ZC8_UMCYY77_w_a7nJfIzR63-NMhIssEL0FgYvu3fAoLfPIu2x3aqng-qvj7WdjsNGOXQlYTz-zSTNVMKD_EFqvqrlRTdObs74BSB/s320/DSCN1046.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544378120862640546" border="0" /></a>The next card is made by stamping a polka-dot background stamp by Inkadinkadoo on half of the card base (standard sized) diagonally. I did this by covering one side with a scrap of paper while I stamped in brown ink. Then I added some diagonal strips of red, green, and brown cardstock and some white letter stickers from American Crafts. I added a little bit of red glitter-glue for the finishing touch!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB9RS_H-vZrw8HXb0mpDXtIHtQgeU-pthMbrEMKMRfVCegsmcKk6xpmVeRewGU04vuynv_hyphenhyphenupSb5eYsym2j-OIHy_Lq4rT2jqRdPkZZBV1_q9yitILFCHF_289B3k6uNHLQ_2f4HTD9n_/s1600/DSCN1041.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB9RS_H-vZrw8HXb0mpDXtIHtQgeU-pthMbrEMKMRfVCegsmcKk6xpmVeRewGU04vuynv_hyphenhyphenupSb5eYsym2j-OIHy_Lq4rT2jqRdPkZZBV1_q9yitILFCHF_289B3k6uNHLQ_2f4HTD9n_/s320/DSCN1041.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544378897139338594" border="0" /></a>And last but not least, the "You Make Me Happy" is made from a standard sized card base of Kraft cardstock. I stamped the background using two different flower images and some brown ink. The sentiment is from the American Crafts stamp set entitled "thanks" and it is stamped on a piece of yellow cardstock which I then adhered to the base. I added a strip of light blue cardstock for some color and some white gel pen around the outside edge of the card :)<br /><br />I hope you guys like all of the cards!<br /><br />-sara :)sara:)http://www.blogger.com/profile/11989380455395501999noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1039266087982333096.post-91570601002813599722010-07-25T21:07:00.000-07:002010-07-25T21:09:01.074-07:00My New Blog!:DHey!
